THE PROGRAM
After its successful third year, Hot Docs and the Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) are pleased to announce the return of the Quebecor Documentary Fellowship Program. The program is designed for mid-level filmmakers from underrepresented communities intending to pursue documentary production as a viable, long-term career option. In effort to foster skills relevant to emerging market trends, the Quebecor Fellowship 2010 will have an additional emphasis on interactive documentaries and new media projects.
We'd like to raise a toast to the TIFF doc program, which includes DOC Toronto members Peter Raymont, Michele Hozer, Ed Barreveld, Min Sook Lee, Paramita Nath and Peter Mettler. Congratulations!
Formerly known as "Coffee & A Movie", Doc Rough Cuts is a screening series of works-in-progress documentaries.Over the course of the coming year Doc Rough Cuts will present 3 to 4 rough cuts screenings of films to Doc Toronto members and the public. We encourage producers to include a question period and film survey sheet for the audience to follow each screening. A facilitated discussion can also be organized.
