Speaker
Sherrill Sirrs
CPA, CMA
Sherrill's journey into the world of film began in 1997, when she discovered a niche market that allowed her to merge her passion for independent film and television with the not-so-glamorous world of production accounting. Since then, she's built a client roster brimming with indie producers, earning dozens of film credits along the way. Need to know how to finance your next Oscar-worthy short? Or wondering how much craft services actually cost? Sherrill’s your go-to for all things film finance—just don't ask her to make popcorn. When she’s not crunching numbers for projects, she’s tackling tax credit accounting and corporate accounting for the film industry’s finest. From documentaries to comedies and everything in between Sherrill's been behind the scenes making sure the numbers add up, even when the plot doesn’t. Feel free to quiz her on the wild world of production—she's got more stories than IMDb.
