Overview

ReBoot - February 16th-19th 2010

The ReBoot winning project has been chosen!  DOC would like to congratulate The Guinea Pig Detectives pitched by the Montreal-based team of Patricia Bergeron and Magnus Isacsson. We want to thank Rob Spence, Mandy Leith, Patricia Bergeron and Magnus Isacsson for sharing their projects  and all of the presenters and participants of ReBoot for making it such a successful week!

DOC would like to extend its thanks to all those who participated in this project. We hope to run it again in the future.

ReBoot is all about giving documentary filmmakers and the knowledge and skills they need to produce for the digital environment. True to the digital environment, DOC National will be broadcasting a comprehensive series of video presentations covering everything from case studies of the most successful new media documentary projects to how to work with geeks and not get ripped off.

In the form of video addresses, the case studies and seminars will include everything from content collaboration and distribution to content and form, to creating online communities and alternative fundraising opportunities. How do you work with the new digital “crews”?  What does it means to tell a story digitally?  All this and more will be covered during ReBoot week.

Beginning Tuesday, Feb 16, you will be able to view the video series online at docspace.ca as they are released in daily installments, along with document resources available to you for downloading over the course of ReBoot week. In addition, for a limited time, the presenters will respond to comments posted on DOCspace.ca.  So make sure you tune in over the course of the week.
