DOC Issues the Following Statement on Bill C-10:

The Documentary Organization of Canada represents over 1,000 documentary creators across the country, with six chapters Coast to Coast. DOC wishes to express its support for Bill C-10 and the necessary improvements it can bring to our industry.

Bill C-10 has the potential to be of enormous benefit to Canadian creators by requiring specific platforms’ online undertakings to contribute to the creation of Canadian content and be regulated by the CRTC.

DOC believes that any concerns relating to individual content have been adequately addressed and urges our Government to take the necessary steps to work together in order to pass this important legislation.
