Jill brings over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry. At Telefilm Canada, she leads a national team responsible for evaluating and investing in projects across several CMF programs, including Indigenous, POV documentary, and Diverse Languages initiatives. She also works with international partners on co-development and co-production financing.

Caroline Chopra

Deputy Director, Portfolio Management, CMF Program Administrator

Caroline has been with Telefilm Canada since 2006, working on CMF programs across a range of roles. She currently oversees English-language documentary programming. Her prior experience includes roles at the Canadian Television Fund, the Historica Foundation, the NFB, and TFO.

Karen Tohana

Director of English Content

Karen oversees CMF’s linear content programs for the English market and plays a key role in developing and interpreting program policy. She previously worked at CBC as a Business & Rights Manager and has experience across broadcasting, production, distribution, and financing.
